Take Good Care: Part 1

I have a friend who has always ended our shared notes and conversations with this phrase, ‘take good care’. It’s meaning is just a little deeper, a little more heartfelt and intentional than ‘take care’. It gives me cause to pause every time and lets me know that my friend truly means good for me.

Although you and I will experience the Lenten season in separate space this year, I hope that our focus and intention might be aligned. Let us commit together to the experience of rest and renewal through intentional acts of restfulness for the body, mind, and spirit. Our living into this commitment will look a bit different for each of us, and yet, I am sure that the Spirit will bring the gift of renewal to our collective heart. I look forward to what fruit our renewed heart will bear as we enter Spring in ministry together!

So, dear ones, “take good care” of yourselves and each other as the journey of Lent begins.
