Weekly  Free  Meals

We serve everyone a free community bag lunch from 2:30 – 3:30 pm every Sunday for anyone who wants it. No questions asked. Each bag lunch contains a Chef’s Special (for example, soup, spaghetti, mac & cheese); a sandwich; fruit; snacks; and a bottle of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the last Sunday of each month from 2:30 – 3:30 pm, enjoy a free community hot meal in our dining room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bread and Jam began in 1996. Its original idea was to help single parents with limited funds. Free meals (Bread) were served the first and last Sunday of the month to anyone who came, and musicians spontaneously served up music (Jam). It has evolved into a free meal served to any person who attends, regardless of religion or financial circumstances. We offer food for the body and fellowship for the soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To enjoy a meal, just show up any Sunday between 2:30 and 3:30 pm to our Clement Street door (next to our Free Little Food Pantry box.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Free Little Food Pantry<\/h3>\n

\"\"Our Free Little Food Pantry was erected in 2022 by member John Warkaske as part of his Eagle Scout Project with Troop 252 of the Boy Scouts of America. People are invited to take what they need and leave what they can from the box located on Clement Ave., between Kinnickinnic Ave. and Pryor Ave. It’s open 24\/7 and includes a variety of packaged foods and personal care items.<\/p>\n\n\n

Stocking Boxes at Hunger Task Force<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Every quarter, Bay View UMC volunteers help stock food boxes at Hunger Task Force. Every month, Hunger Task Force distributes over 10,000 boxes of food to low-income seniors across Southeastern Wisconsin. Our volunteers generally put together over 450 boxes each time. There are jobs for every age and skill level. Join in next time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
