Yeah, that\u2019s early! I do hope you will join us at 7:00 p.m. for this special service of repentance and the imposition<!--more--> of ashes.<\/p>\n<p>February 14<sup>th<\/sup>, besides being Valentine\u2019s Day, is the first Sunday of Lent and it will be a busy Sunday. We\u2019ll be baptizing Samuel Burrows, son of Matthew and Marie Burrows at our 10:45 p.m. worship. Little Sammy was baby Jesus in the children\u2019s Christmas program in December. That evening we\u2019ll also begin our new <i>The Faith of a Mockingbird<\/i> book study, which kicks off with a showing of the Academy-Award winning film, <i>To Kill a Mockingbird<\/i>, at 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Also on February 14<sup>th<\/sup>, Diane Evans, one of our Lay Servants, will offer the first of two sermons on spiritual gifts. She\u2019ll offer the second one on February 21<sup>st<\/sup>. And then, for those who want to go deeper in identifying and understanding their spiritual gifts, Diane will lead two follow-up classes between services on February 28<sup>th<\/sup> and March 6<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Lent is always a time of introspection, both as individuals and as a church community.
