Focus On: BVUMC Mission Team
Mission Team is a small group of church members with a focus on connecting needs and resources. We are interested in projects that benefit our community, state, nation and world! Please contact Pastor Kelly or Pastor Andy if you would like to meet with us (every month or two) or even to offer your email suggestions/support. Our small team is currently seeking those with a passion for service and justice!
This year we began offering speakers on the first Sunday of the month prior to second service, in order to learn more about programs such as Interfaith and Common Ground. We welcome suggestions for additional presenters for this educational outreach.
Annual Conference is fast approaching and Bay View United Methodist Church members have collected supplies and assembled InGathering School Kits this year. These kits include: 3 notebooks, 6 pencils, 1 pair scissors, 1 ruler, 1 eraser, 1 box crayons, 1 pencil sharpener and a tote bag. MMDC (Midwest Missions Distribution Center) collects the following kits: School Bags, Layette Kits, Bedding Kits, Cleaning Bucket Kits, Birthday Kits, and Sewing Kits. There are also toiletry kits assembled for Wisconsin Conference needs at Harbor House, United Methodist Children’s Services, Northcott Neighborhood House and Solomon Community Temple.
